About Us
"Health equity above everything"
The Wayne County Oral Health Coalition (WCOHC), an initiative of the United Health Organization, is one of Michigan’s five regional coalitions partnering with the Michigan Oral Health Coalition and the national Oral Health Progress and Equity Network (OPEN).
WCOHC is committed to educating and advocating so vulnerable and underserved communities have equitable access to quality, affordable oral health—because oral health is essential to overall health and social justice.
We work to close the gap between what the public believes about oral health and what communities truly need. Our coalition brings together dentists, educators, first responders, faith leaders, social workers, health departments, clinics, essential workers, researchers, and Wayne County residents. Every voice matters, and every perspective strengthens the fight for health equity.
