The Wayne County Oral Health Coalition achieved remarkable success in its efforts to serve the community, providing essential oral health education to more than 9,000 individuals and distributing 8,556 oral health kits. These initiatives reached a diverse audience, including preschool-aged children, students, attendees at community centers, churchgoers, and participants in various local events. By engaging directly with these groups, the coalition ensured that oral health awareness and resources were accessible to individuals of all ages and walks of life.

The coalition's accomplishments were made possible through 36 thoughtfully organized events throughout the year, each designed to address specific community needs. These events offered educational materials, interactive demonstrations, and hands-on activities to encourage healthier oral hygiene practices. A significant contributing factor to this success was the involvement of students from various dental schools, who played a key role in connecting with the community. These students not only shared their expertise in oral health but also showcased career opportunities in the field, sparking interest and inspiration among attendees.

Moreover, the coalition expanded its reach by welcoming six new members, further strengthening its ability to make a positive impact. This growth reflects the coalition's ongoing commitment to addressing oral health disparities and ensuring its initiatives reach even more individuals and families across the community.
